About Simpatico

Simpatico Ensemble was founded in 2006 with a mission to present concert
performances of both vocal and instrumental music, and of classical and contemporary
styles. The repertoire is wide-ranging and eclectic, with programs comprised of
classical standards and less familiar works, intended to expose audiences to new
compositions in a variety of genres. Members of Simpatico have distinguished
themselves in many musical areas. Some are members of other professional symphony
orchestras; some are teachers at Juilliard and the Manhattan School of Music. Many
members have performed throughout the world in concerts as soloists and chamber
musicians. The talent of the members is truly outstanding. In Simpatico, they come
together with other like-minded musicians who value giving performances that are
intense, committed, and authentic. With a commitment to presenting convicted musical
performance, Simpatico Ensemble’s mission is to bring the joy of music — known and
unknown — to audiences everywhere.
